UK entry is never one workstream. Compliance sits next to logistics, payments, marketplace setup and translation, and the brands that get it right have good people on each. These are the firms we work alongside, listed because we would put our own clients in front of them.

VATCompass screens ecommerce sellers and agencies for EU VAT and EPR obligations across all 27 member states, scoped to the exposure a particular business actually has. The output is a diagnostic in minutes rather than a discovery call — where you are already obliged to register, what EPR pulls in, and what has to happen next. We point brands to them when the problem is European rather than British, or when the EU picture needs establishing before UK work begins.

hellotax handles EU VAT for online sellers — registrations, returns and OSS filings across the European markets they cover, run by local accountants in each country rather than one remote desk. Their software tracks distance-selling thresholds, so a registration obligation surfaces before it is breached rather than after. We use them for the EU VAT side of a European rollout. The UK side stays with us.
Each firm listed here is an independent business, responsible for its own advice, services and regulatory obligations. Lantara does not warrant their work, and any commercial arrangement with a listed firm is disclosed on request.
Lantara handles UK compliance — VAT, product compliance, Responsible Person and packaging EPR. That is deliberately a narrow scope, and plenty of what a brand needs on the way into the UK and Europe sits outside it. These are the firms we put our own clients in front of when it does.
